Title: Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP with Zend Technologies
Abstract: With the introduction of the new Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP there is now the combination of two very distinct, very popular ecosystems. These ecosystems now need to be able to work in easy harmony. In this talk we will go through all of the main considerations for building an full end-to-end RIA application using Flex and PHP. Some of these include, but are not limited to, how the integration points work, what are some architectural considerations and how can you do it "the right way".
About: Kevin Schroeder, Technology Evangelist for Zend Technologies, is well versed in a wide range of technologies pertinent to both small- and large-scale application deployments. He has developed production software using a variety of languages including PHP, Java (standalone and web-based applications), JavaScript, HTML, SQL, Perl, Visual Basic, ASP, and occasionally C. His software development experience is complemented by extensive experience as system administrator on platforms including Linux, Solaris, and Windows on scales ranging from a single server with a few users up to several hundred servers and millions of users. He has spoken at several conferences and is also the co-author of "The IBM i Programmer's Guide to PHP" and author of "You want to do WHAT with PHP?".
